The packaging mark UN or UNZ is the abbreviation form of the United Nations, which is one of the eight main marks of the United Nations for newly designed and manufactured packaging containers. The United Nations dangerous goods packaging container symbol.
1.UN symbol
The UN symbol is used to prove that packaging, flexible bulk containers, and movable multi-element gas containers meet IMDG regulations.
2.Packing type code
Arabic numerals indicate the type of packaging: such as drums (1), barrels (2), cans (3), boxes (4), bags (5), etc.
The letters represent the types of packaging materials: such as steel (A), aluminum (B), natural wood (C), plywood (D), reclaimed wood (F), fiberboard (G), plastic material (H), textiles ( L), paper, multilayer (M), metal (excluding steel and aluminum) (N).
The third number is also the Arabic number on the right side of the English letter indicating the structural characteristics of the packaging container. For example, for steel drums, if "1" is marked on the right side of the letter, it means that the steel drum is closed, and if it is marked "2", it means it was open

The first letter indicates the category level achieved by the performance test of this kind of packaging container
X indicates type I packaging, which has the best performance and can be used to pack the most dangerous dangerous goods
Y represents type II packaging, with moderate performance, used to package moderately dangerous goods.
Z means Class III packaging, which has poor performance and can only be used to pack dangerous goods with less dangerousness

The letter S indicates that this kind of packaging container is used to hold solid goods or a packaging container with an inner container. If it is a liquid cargo, the hydraulic pressure should be marked, and the unit is Kpa.
